Amy Schumer was walking the red carpet at the Critic’s Choice Awards when a 17-year-old asked her for a photo. Being the awesome person she is, she took the photo and probably forgot about it.

Later that evening this teenager tweeted “Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that,” along with the photo.

UGH. Sexist teenagers are the worst, right? And who the heck is this kid and why was he on the red carpet?

The kid, Jackson Murphy, is an Emmy award winning movie critic who has faced a lot of criticism in the media. Howard Stern said he’s too young to make valid critiques of movies, and others have called his reviews “insufferable.”

Nonetheless he was on the red carpet and made the poor decision of sending out a sexist tweet. Schumer, who won the award for Best Actress in a Comedy and the MVP Award, was not impressed.amy schumer slut shame feminism critic's choiceSchumer’s fans weren’t impressed either. This kid (whose dad is reportedly a Canadian sportscaster) faced a lot of backlash on social media.

At least he learned his lesson. He tweeted an apology and hopefully understands why it was wrong to say in the first place.
