Originally known as International Working Women’s Day, International Women’s Day is celebrated globally on March 8. While we’ve come a long way since the first celebration of the day in 1909, we still have far to go. All women, especially women of colour and trans women, are still seeking equality.

Today we celebrate the achievements of women, but we also look forward to all the work that needs to be done to make sure ALL women are equal and empowered.
