Radio host Dani Mathers learned the hard way that body-shaming is unacceptable. The 2015 Playmate of the Year was at a LA Fitness location when she shared an intrusive Snapchat of a woman in the showers.
“If I can’t unsee this then you can’t either,” Mathers added to the photo.
The Snapchat got more attention than she bargained for when she was indefinitely suspended from L.A.’s KLOS ‘Heidi and Frank’ show and banned from all LA Fitness locations.
“[She] is not permitted back at any club, ever,” said a gym spokesperson. “Her behavior is appalling and puts every member’s privacy at risk. We have handled this internally and also notified the police.”
Mathers has since apologized, on Snapchat.
“I just wanted to acknowledge the photo I accidentally posted here on Snapchat earlier today,” she said. “It was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do.”
She goes on to say she’s new to using the app and thought she was just sending it to a friend.
“I know body-shaming is wrong,” she says, adding that she models because she loves the female body. “This is not the type of person I am.”
This did not happen ‘accidentally.’ People need to be more mindful and keep in mind that actions have consequences.
