Fox has finally released the official trailer for the much anticipated revival of The X-Files set to debut on the network early next year. Turns out, the truth is still out there.

Lucky folks at New York Comic Con will be treated to the first episode of The X-Files revival on Oct. 10. With this event coming up, the network has been working to get audiences excited by offering viewers of new episodes of Minority Report and Gotham access to the official trailer for the returning series during commercial breaks.

Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are returning to television in the revival series that is picking up 13 years later — with, oh no, Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi) in tow.

It seems Mulder’s personal obsession has continued to thrive — and he’s aware of the danger that surrounds them. And he doesn’t appear to be wrong as the trailer offers us a glimpse of the Smoking Man — the memorable villain from the original series.

Unfortunately, no real spoilers were revealed in the trailer. But the trailer has certainly suggested age has been kind to this beloved duo.

X-Files returns to Fox on Jan. 24.
