Trump and his staff have no shame. Their latest blunder involves straight-up plagiarism and they’re defending it. If you didn’t torture yourself watching the Republican National Convention last night, the big speech came from Melania Trump. Donald’s wife took the stage in a move that many pundits thought would humanize the orange man running for president. Turns out Melania’s speech, or parts of it, are word-for-word what Michelle Obama said in her speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
The video shows the blatant stealing of FLOTUS’ words, but Trump’s camp was quick to defend themselves.
“To think that she would do something like that knowing how scrutinized her speech was going to be last night is just really absurd,” campaign chairman Paul Manafort told CNN.
