Another misconception is that women’s rights are anti-family. In reality, rights can strengthen families by reducing violence, improving health, supporting income, protecting children, and promoting shared responsibility. Equality does not destroy family life; it makes family life fairer.

Some people believe women’s rights are only relevant in certain countries. This is false. Every society has gendered political questions, even if they appear in different forms.
